Gauss Meters
Gauss meters are good to use to better understand your immediate electromagnetic environment. Low priced meters will easily do this for you with some degree of accuracy. The main intent is to find areas there have strong magnetic fields and stay away from them. You do not want to sleep or relax in an area that is fully immersed in these fields. As an example:
"In 2007 I went out to a customers location to help find problem areas in her home. She lived in a two story home with high tension power lines nearby (within a 1/4 mile). The EMF protection devices listed on this and other websites do not cancel the effects of magnetism or electricity. What you want to accomplish is locating areas of high influence and staying away from them. Listed below are a few places and things to check:
- Walls where you sleep or spend time relaxing.
- Your night stand or anything where you have clocks, radios, lamps, etc. on them.
- Electrical outlets that are located above your head when you sleep.
- Appliances, televisions, hair dryers, shavers, irons...
- Do you sleep above a water heater, a refrigerator, the television....?
