Home Protection
Today's modern home is a complex blend of house wires, dimming switches, cordless phones, wireless technologies, VCR's, TV's, radios, computers, etc. In addition, the average American home has approximately thirty electrical appliances and tools. Plus the EMF influence of each of these devices change whether they are turned off or on.
Some good news is that our internal house wiring has been improved through the years. The changes were due to how the wire was installed and circuits wired. The main cause for concern in a home are the resulting elevated magnetic fields. These fields are typically generated by power lines, transformers, neutral currents on your own building's water pipes and wiring errors in some circuits. If you do not live near any power lines or transformers and you have a gaussmeter reading of 3 milligauss or more you could have a wiring or grounding problem in your home. This is worth investigating because it can indicate a fire risk.
The EMF protection devices listed on this and other websites do not cancel the effects of magnitism or electricity. They affect the frequency of the combined fields. So the recommendation that I have is to find the magnetic field and stay away from it if you can or to protect yourself while you are in them. Listed below are a few places and things to check:
- Walls where you sleep or spend time relaxing.
- Your night stand or anything where you have clocks, radios, lamps, etc. on them.
- Electrical outlets that are located above your head when you sleep.
- Appliances, televisions, hair dryers, shavers, irons...
- Do you sleep above a water heater, a refrigerator, the television....?
